Hello neighbors! I hope you’re all looking forward to our annual Blue Ridge picnic on September 27th.
We won’t have a rain date this year, so let’s all cross our fingers for a nice day. This is such a fun event for both long term residents and those new to the neighborhood. It’s a great time to meet people you haven’t met before and to reconnect with those you know.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Where and when – Oliver Drive, 5:00 to 7:30ish
Barbeque and vegan wraps are provided
Beverages are provided (soft drinks, juice boxes, sparkling water, beer and wine)
Please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share if you’re able
Bringing your own place setting – while not required - will reduce paper waste
Parents may want to bring safe games for the younger residents to enjoy
As always, we can use help with setting up the tables and chairs (as well as taking them down afterward.) If you’re able to help, they’ll arrive at 3:30 and we’ll start setting up about 3:45. Come on down to Oliver if you can help.

Our biggest neighborhood event is coming soon - the Picnic!
When: Sunday, September 7th, 5:00 - 7:30
(rain date is Sunday, September 21, same time)
Where: Oliver Drive
Barbecue, buns, condiments, and vegan wraps will be provided. If you're able, please bring a side dish or dessert to share. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community, catch up with those you know, and meet new neighbors!
As always, we can use help setting up and taking down the tables and chairs. They'll be delivered at 3:30, so if you want to help, come on down
to Oliver about 3:45. And parents, if you want to bring safe outdoor games to the picnic to entertain the younger neighbors, please do so!

Neighborhood Picnic
Blue Ridge’s premiere social event of the year is the Neighborhood Picnic, scheduled for September 8. Thanks to resident Amy Henn for serving as the Chair of the Picnic Planning committee for 2024, but additional volunteers are needed – if you enjoy picnics, planning, and friendly neighbors, please contact Amy Henn at amy008henn@gmail.com or by text to 812-322-6814 to join the picnic planning committee. It’s a great way to get involved and get to know some of your neighbors!
